LOADING CRANE SIMULATOR: GRUCASIM

A self-loading hydraulic crane is a rig attached to a truck for the loading and unloading of material. As it has an articulated and telescopically unfolding arm, unloading is usually done at a specific location of the working area. It is used not only to unload the truck but also to transfer the load. In this way, the loading crane covers the needs of an auto crane on a small-scale. Ignorance can cause handling dump truck (due to ignorance of the behavior of charges), or the collision of the charge against persons or objects (for the lack of use of the load hanging on a hook). These variables make up the vital importance of skilled workers training in Grucasim.

Virtual reality

Reproduces, with total realism, the performance of the machine as it moves, when loading, lifting, when carrying the load, etc. The simulator also faithfully samples typical scenarios of use areas. The physical characteristics of the machine are completely real.

In short, a virtual reality very close to reality.

Simulation cabin

It consists on a base that includes the computer, sound system and controls of the crane. The display system can be a projector or 3D glasses. To travel through the field has a joystick to move your position as an avatar.

Sim’s aim

The simulator is intended to provide the student with full knowledge of machine operation, from the controls to complex professional applications. The simulator is intended to develop a self-managed learning activity in which the student learns work issues, skills and attitudes.

In conclusion, the goal is to teach how to operate the machine in a productive, safe and controlled way through assessments.
