10 Sep Techint Engineering and Construction incorporates a 4WD truck simulator to improve safety on mining routes
To improve road safety among employees of mining companies located in remote mountainous areas of Chile, Techint Engineering and Construction has incorporated a 4 × 4 truck simulator to its Logistics Center, with which it will provide training and safe driving courses with simulations in real route scenarios.
Techint Engineering and Construction incorporates a 4 × 4 truck simulator to improve safety on mining routes. The mining industry in Chile presents the challenge of having its sites and operations in locations far from urban centers. In most cases they are located in mountain areas, not with the best access roads, and employees have to face extreme weather conditions such as snow, many meters above sea level, among other difficulties.
Techint Engineering and Construction incorporates a 4×4 simulator: Off-road simulators for mining areas
Thousands of professionals, in the performance of their duties, circulate at the sites or between the city and the mining operations, using 4 × 4 off-road trucks. Without necessarily being experts in driving, they must have the skills to drive such vans, using the vehicle’s own technology, minimizing road risks.
For this reason Techint Engineering and Construction incorporates a 4 × 4 simulator, with the purpose of placing the safety of its drivers first and foremost, and relying on Simumak technology, it launches a Truck Simulator in its Logistics Center in Chile. SIMESCAR 4 × 4 off-road vehicle, Platinum cabins, to evaluate, certify and train all drivers who face these challenges in the technologies on board of this type of vehicle.
Advantages of simulation in off-road driving
Among the main advantages of using simulators for training in the driving of off-road vehicles is the security provided by being able to have trained in high-risk situations without the danger of doing it with a real vehicle. In this way, the training is more complete, of higher quality. Because with real vehicles you cannot train according to what situations, because they can lead to an accident.
Train on the real mining routes simulated by Simumak
Techint Engineering and Construction incorporates a 4 × 4 truck simulator. Simumak has reproduced different routes of mining areas in Chile. Thanks to this, the training is more complete for these workers who face these dangerous roads every day. Techint Engineering and Construction incorporates a 4 × 4 simulator and in this way, road safety in the area increases and fatalities are reduced.
The Simescar 4 × 4 simulator has a faithful HW and SW with realistic dynamics that reproduce the movements and inertia of an off-road vehicle.
