To improve road safety among employees of mining companies located in remote mountainous areas of Chile, Techint Engineering and Construction has incorporated a 4 × 4 truck simulator to its Logistics Center, with which it will provide training and safe driving courses with simulations in real route scenarios.

The mining industry in Chile presents the challenge of having its sites and operations in locations far from urban centers. In most cases they are located in mountain areas, not with the best access roads, and employees have to face extreme weather conditions such as snow, many meters above sea level, among other difficulties.

Techint Engineering and Construction incorporates a 4×4 simulator: Off-road simulators for mining areas

Thousands of professionals, in the performance of their duties, circulate at the sites or between the city and the mining operations, using 4 × 4 off-road trucks. Without necessarily being experts in driving, they must have the skills to drive such vans, using the vehicle’s own technology, minimizing road risks. 

For this reason Techint Engineering and Construction incorporates a 4 × 4 simulator, with the purpose of placing the safety of its drivers first and foremost, and relying on Simumak technology, it launches a Truck Simulator in its Logistics Center in Chile.
