The Livestock, Agriculture and International Industry Exhibition is the annual event that the Argentine Rural Society holds in the City of Buenos Aires. Simulator demonstration for the Ministry of Transport
At the request of the Ministry of Transport of the Province of Buenos Aires, the Civil Association for the Training of Passenger Automotive Transport Workers (ACCATTAP) provided the official stand with its mobile training classroom equipped with a Simestruck Gold truck and bus simulator which was quite an attraction for the visitors of the meeting.
ACCATTAP has had several Simumak simulator units for years and with them trains thousands of professional drivers focusing on safety and efficiency in driving heavy vehicles. Among the particularities of this equipment, the virtual scenario developed by Simumak that reproduces real streets of Buenos Aires stands out. For them, ACCATTAP drivers train and submit to unforeseen events and situations that they will later encounter in their daily work, so that they are better prepared to overcome risks.
Simestruck for professional driver training in Argentina
As part of its plan to promote training programs, ACCATTAP promoted the installation of a truck and bus simulator in a mobile classroom that would allow it to bring this cutting-edge technology closer to the most remote areas, favoring the different communities.
Its presence at the Expo Rural has helped to promote training as a tool that contributes to road safety in the professional driving environment. According to information from the ministerial authorities, around 60.000 people approached the mobile classroom during the 10 days in which the event took place.
With more than 133 editions, the Expo has become over the years the most important business area of the Argentine agro-industrial community, being the meeting point for producers, contractors, businessmen, professionals, students and technicians from the country.
Among other authorities, they attended the ACCATTAP mobile classroom to learn about the advantages of simulation in the field of training professional drivers Jorge D’Onofrio, Minister of Transport of the Province of Buenos Aires; Julio Perdiguero, Undersecretary of Transportation; Alejandro Blanco, Provincial Director of Road Safety; and Jorge Ignacio Cingolani, Legal and Administrative Undersecretary.
